Guests can customize their PIN from 3 to 6 digits, and the bright and easy to read display built into the safe controller lets them confirm they have entered the correct digits, both as they enter them and for a few seconds after entry is completed. In the event that the guest forgets their code or loses their card, hotel staff can open the safe instantly using a hand-held electrical override module, a master code or card, which is detailed during the on-screen audit. The module has its own power source and works directly with the safe motor. A factory-programmed site code prevents the use of unauthorized override modules.

The stand-alone battery-powered safe requires virtually no service. The built in self-diagnostic codes featured on the LED display are easy for the staff to understand. Off the shelf battery life is 18 months. A low battery message "BA-LO" is displayed and by default the safe will not lock if the batteries do not have enough power to open it.

There are also up to 9 security programmable functions available to customize the safe including PIN display, master PIN or card, as well as an activation hold for protection after four attempts as an anti-tamper shutdown. The safes can be installed on the wall or you can purchase a pedestal to sit the safe off the floor.
